JUNE CONTEST WINNER

Congratulations to Ben Herman and driver Todd Gibson of Exact Crane & Equipment Corp. in Cleveland, Ohio. They are SafeTruck’s June 2013 Oversize Load Winners! 

Exact Crane & Equipment hauls Crawler Cranes, Rough Terrain Cranes, Truck Cranes, Carry Deck Cranes of all different makes and models. The winning entry was driven by Todd Gibson in a Peterbilt 388 pulling a 48’ (l) x 11’ 5” (w) x 12’ 6” (h), 90,000 pound 2008 Terex RT665 Rough Terrain Crane. Mr. Gibson hauled the crane approximately 120 miles from Cleveland, OH to Sunbury, OH.  Overall DIMS for the Peterbilt and load were 84’ (l) x 11’ 5” (w) x 14’ (h) and 145,000 pounds.

Mr. Herman told us that Peterbilt builds a great heavy haul truck. Exact Crane & Equipment had custom aluminum fender and headache rack built and installed on the Peterbilt 388 by Super City Manufacturing and are very happy with the way it turned out. They pull a custom 55 ton lowboy trailer built by Master Solutions that works well for their hauls.
